LANSING — State Sen. Judy Emmons invites area residents to join her at a Seniors Wellness Information Day event this month in Mt. Pleasant.
“I encourage local seniors and their families to take advantage of this excellent opportunity to learn more about wellness issues,” said Emmons, chair of the Senate Families, Seniors and Human Services Committee. “Representatives from various state departments and associations will be on hand to share valuable information and answer questions. I look forward to seeing you there.”
The Senior Wellness Information Day event will take place on Monday, Oct. 15 at the Commission on Aging of Isabella County building from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The facility is located at 2200 S. Lincoln Road in Mt. Pleasant.
There is no cost for admission, and the first 100 attendees will receive a gift bag.
“The focus of this free event is helping ensure that mid-Michigan seniors are healthy,” said Emmons, R-Sheridan. “At the Seniors Wellness Information Day, residents will have access to a variety of officials who will be able to talk to them about issues important to maintaining a healthy, active and fulfilling life.”
Residents with questions about senior wellness issues but unable to attend the event may contact Emmons’ office at 517-373-3760 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
