LANSING, Mich. — Sen. Judy Emmons on Thursday congratulated the Parker Hannifin Corporation for receiving a grant from the Michigan Strategic Fund that will help them expand operations at its Lakeview facility.
“This performance-based grant will help attract more than $5 million in private investment in Michigan and create 46 jobs, which is great news for the people of Montcalm County and the entire state,” said Emmons, R-Sheridan. “I applaud Parker Hannifin and local officials for working together to create jobs in Michigan by making this expansion a reality. It is an illustration of the impact we can have on improving our state through teamwork.”
The company is headquartered in Mayfield Heights, OH and is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of motion control technologies.
Parker Hannifin plans to construct a $5.1 million addition at its Lakeview facility to expand its plastics injection production. As a result, the company was awarded a $250,000 Michigan Business Development Program grant.
“Michigan was chosen over competing sites in Indiana and Ohio for this investment,” Emmons said. “With this grant, we are attracting new jobs and opportunities while also getting a 2,000 percent return on our investment.”
