Emmons sworn in as 33rd District state senator

LANSING—Sen. Judy Emmons, R-Sheridan, was sworn in as senator of the 33rd District on Wednesday during a ceremony at the state Capitol. Michigan Supreme Court Chief Justice Robert P. Young administered the oath of office.

Emmons was joined on the Senate floor by her husband, Jerry; her mother, Phebe; and her family.

Emmons was re-elected in November to a second term as senator for the 33rd District, which now includes Clare, Gratiot, Isabella, Mecosta and Montcalm counties.
